Mother tricked by stranger and her baby stolen when she returned

Two local women have been arrested on suspicion of child abduction, after a nine-week-old baby boy was snatched from his home in Shropshire.
West Mercia Police confirmed that the baby has been found safe and well. The baby is currently being checked over by hospital staff and will be reunited with his family shortly. Officers were called to his home in Arleston, Telford shortly before 3pm today, with reports that the baby had gone missing.
Occupants in Manor Road claimed the mother of the baby may have been tricked into leaving the infant with a woman who called at her home.  A woman, who declined to be named, said the mother returned shortly afterwards and found her baby had gone.'It was about 10 minutes to three and the police were here very quickly. They have done a great job and I'm so relieved they have found the baby.'
Neighbours living on the quiet residential road said the family had been 'beside themselves with worry' since a stranger 'came in off the street' and took the baby. Another neighbour, who did not want to be named, added: 'They have not lived there for that long I don't think. 'The mum is beside herself with worry. One of the officers told my neighbour it was a stranger who came in off the street and just took him. Just like that.'
