CBN Issues License to 11 New International Money Transfer Operators (IMTOs).
The apex bank's Acting Director, Corporate Communications, Isaac Okorafor yesterday said the new entrants are joining Western Union, MoneyGram and Ria, which had been cleared by the central bank of Nigeria. The CBN wishes to state, unequivocally, that it has not foreclosed the licensing of interested players in the IMTO space in Nigeria.

NAFDAC alerts Nigerians of fake alcohol in circulation
The National Agency for Foods and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has warned Nigerians of fake alcoholic drinks, especially dry gin in circulation. Disclosing this today, the NAFDAC Director of Special Duties, Abubakar Jimoh, said consumers of alcoholic beverages should be wary of purchasing and consuming the fake products.

Teachers Protest Over Unpaid Salaries in Bayelsa
The unpaid teachers took to the major roads to press home their demands before marching to the state secretariat in Yenago.
According to a source, they said while other workers in the state have received half month payment three times, they have not received anything
The teachers also rejected government’s proposition to give them half pay for the month of August on Thursday, insisting that the government must pay them as the other workers.
The Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS) in Bayelsa State, Mr Oyiemi Ebiredeni, said that members of the union had been battling to survive, as a result of unpaid salaries.
