Sometimes I wonder what it could have been, where and how far we could have gone in terms of development with this great icon at the helm of affairs. A man of peace that stood for equity and justice, a detribalised Nigerian and a nationalist who was so passionate about improving the lot of the poor masses.
He gave it all. Though sickness and eventually death couldn't allow him to finish it up. Umar Musa Yardua (the perfect gentleman) will forever be there in my heart as the man who made positive impact in the life of his people though (I believe) he was sacrificed at altar of dirty politics. Sleep on Umar and may God grant your soul rest.
