Son of a Railway Worker Now world’s Richest Man



        Amancio Ortega, the son of a railway worker became the world’s richest man on Wednesday, according to Forbes magazine , when shares of his business Inditex went up 2.5%. Last year shares went up 40% as sales soared.

       According to Guardian, counsel to the first defendant in charge with case number FHC/337C/16, Gboyega Oduwole, informed the court that Patience Jonathan filed a fundamental application against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), claiming ownership of the money.

Nigerian Paralympic Rolland Ezuruike Wins Gold

       Nigerian Paralympic, Rolland Ezuruike won the first Gold for the country in the on going Rio 2016 Paralympic games, when he lifted 200kg in the men’s 54kg to beat China’s Jian Wang and Greece’s Dimitrios Bakochristos to the top prize. It is Nigeria’s first gold and the second medal in the games.

EFCC Driver, Others Arrested on impersonation, fraud charges

       The spokesperson for the commission, Wilson Uwujaren, disclosed that the driver identified as Nasiru Isa, who reportedly joined the commission almost 18 months ago, is a member of a criminal group which made attempts to break into a property sealed by the EFCC, with plans to make away with goods which are suspected to be proceeds of money laundering.
