Nnamdi Kanu leaves Kuje prison (Photos)
Mr. Nnamdi Kanu has been released from the Kuje Prison in Abuja after meeting the bail conditions granted him by a Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday
After almost 2 years in detention, he left the prison at about 5pm after meeting the bail conditions. He was driven out of the detention facility by former aviation minister Osita Chidoka. Justice Nyako had on Tuesday granted bail to Kanu, who along with three others are being prosecuted on charges bordering on treasonable charges. The judge however barred the IPOB leader from granting press interview or participating in any rally or be found in a crowd of more than 10 persons in the course of the bail.

US-based businessman, Mr. Charles Ihaza, says he has acquired about 453.9 hectares of land to establish a modular refinery in Eghudu, Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo. Mr. Ihaza said this at an Open Forum organised on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of the proposed refinery in Benin.

Lady threatens to commit suicide if Davido doesn’t attend her birthday
A young Nigerian lady took to social media yesterday to announce her obsession with Davido. The lady, Chiamaka Okeke, said she was going to take her own life if Davido doesn’t attend her birthday on August 13. She also threatened to end her life if singer Davido does not follow her on the social media. Davido has responded to her, advising her not to take her life.

Nigerian Government has declared Monday, May 1, 2017 as public holiday to commemorate the 2017 Workers’ Day celebration. Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd.) made the declaration in a statement on Friday by the Director, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Muhammadu Maccido.

Oluwakemi Funmilayo Aminu and her husband Imudia Uduehi welcomed a set of quintuplets on April 12th in Abuja. The covenant naming ceremony was held at The National Hospital, Abuja on April 19th and it was great.

Veteran Indian actor Vinod Khanna has died at the age of 70, according to a hospital statement. Khanna died of advanced bladder cancer on Thursday morning, said Tushar Pania, from the HN Reliance Foundation and Research Centre in Mumbai.

Lagos State amiable governor, Dr. Akinwumi Ambodi in his wisdom has decided to relocate Computer Village to ICT Park in Katangowa, Lagos. In a press briefing held yesterday, the Lagos State Government disclosed their plans to relocate the famous Computer Village, to ICT Park Katangowa in Agbado/OkeOdo LCDA.

A statement by the head, Media Relations and Strategy of the Corps, Bisi Kazeem, said the alleged marshals, whose photographs were taken at Tarzan junction, close to Onitsha have been identified as operatives of the Corps from Nteje Unit Command under the Anambra State Sector Command.

CNN anchor, Richard Quest, is in Nigeria to conduct some interviews for his program, Quest Means Business. The veteran anchor met with Nike Davies-Okundaye, founder of Nike art gallery, in Lagos and for the interview, he wore an agbada, the traditional outfit of the Yoruba people. He had on a flowing navy blue agbada, in the same colour shade as the navy blue tie and dye katfan and headgear Ms. Davies-Okundayo wore. Quest accessorized with a red bead necklace.
