   The Canadian Government has said it would provide 119.25 million dollars as funds in response to humanitarian crises in Northeast Nigeria, South Sudan, Somalia and Yemen.

   A 37-year-old internet fraudster, Akintunde Abiodun, was on Friday sentenced to six years in jail after the Lagos high Court sitting in Ikeja convicted him of forgery and stealing.

   Coming after a diamond fueled decade-long civil war that ended in 2002 in which 50,000 people were killed, a Sierra Leonean Pastor who found what could be said to be one of the world’s largest uncut diamonds, weighing 706 carats, and worth over $50M, has donated the diamond, which could be the 10th largest ever found to the Sierra Leonean Government.

Zimbabwean boxer who was due for deportation allegedly commits suicide in London

   

   A 42-year-old Zimbabwean boxer who was due to be deported by immigration officials has allegedly committed suicide in south London. Bhekitshe Moyo, who was reported missing on the evening of Monday, March 6, was discovered dead the following day close to Mitcham Common. Moyo, a former bank manager had lived in the UK for more than 15 years before he was ordered to leave by the Home Office.
