Rotimi Amaechi- 'I rejected N1bn bribe'


 
    The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has revealed how he rejected a bribe of N1 billion years ago. The former Rivers State Governor disclosed this while he was speaking in Lagos on Tuesday, June 13, at a forum in Lagos.

    Mr and Mrs Jegede who reside in a one-room apartment at No. 11, Ijaiye Street, Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos. Mr. Rasheed Jegede, 37, is a furniture maker, while his wife, the mother of the triplets, Esther Jegede, 31, is unemployed. She gave birth to two girls and a boy through Caesarean Section on the 6th of June, 2017 at Ayoradex Hospital, Mafoluku, Oshodi, but has been made to stay since they have been unable to pay their N200,000 medical bills.

Harry Potter Star, Sam Beazley Dies Aged 101

 

    Harry Potter actor Sam Beazley, who played Professor Everard in the Order of the Phoenix, has died aged 101. The British actor, born in Kensington, had a long and distinguished theatre career before he turned to the screen. He played Professor Everard in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the fifth in the series. He also appeared in Johnny English and Bridget Jones' Diary.

  Blessing and Favour were discharged on Thursday, June 15th, after staying in Kenyatta National Hospital receiving specialized medical care for two and a half years. The discharge has been informed by a sequence of medical review of the twins by a multidisciplinary team for seven months after the major surgery performed on November 1st, 2016, recommended that the children are in good health for integration with the community.

Lesotho PM’s wife shot dead

 

   The estranged wife of incoming Lesotho Prime Minister Thomas Thabane has been shot dead two days before his inauguration. Lipolelo Thabane, 58, was travelling home with a friend when both women were shot by an unknown assailant, the police said. The police said the motive was unknown and an investigation was continuing, BBC reported.

     The social empowerment programme of the federal government known as N-Power has commenced recruitment process of graduates across the country.
