A single mother of four, Aishat Akintunde, 33, has been arrested in Lagos for allegedly defrauding her Facebook lover of money and properties valued at about N5 million.
Police alleged that Akintunde, a resident of Egbado road, Dalemo, Alakuko, Alagbada, Lagos and hailed from Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria allegedly succeeded in defrauding her France-based victim, Ayobami Adeniyi after she promised to marry him and also helped him purchase a filling station in Nigeria.
Policeman allegedly caught on tape extorting money with POS in Lagos
The Lagos State Police Command on Wednesday arrested and detained a policeman attached to the Makinde Police Division over allegation of extortion.
The man, whose identity was concealed in a seven-second footage recorded by a female motorist! was shown holding what looked like a Point of Sale, POS, terminal. He was seen taking what appeared like an Automated Teller Machine card from a man who had disembarked from a motorcycle.
Los Angeles set to rename road after Obama
The president of the Los Angeles City Council said he has introduced a motion to rename the street in the city after the former US President. Councilman Herb J. Wesson Jr. announced the initiative on his twitter account, saying that he wanted to change the name of a street in his district from “Rodeo Road” to “Obama Boulevard.”
