  The marital crisis between Tonto Dikeh and Olakunle Churchill entered a whole new level this past weekend when Churchill went back to Tonto Dikeh's family house to have her bride price refunded.
   Churchill's uncle, Bishop Dare led a delegation to meet with Tonto Dikeh's father, Chief Sunny Dikeh in Portharcourt to collect the bride price they paid over a year ago when they held their introduction

Three journalists resign from CNN following Russia story retraction



    Three CNN journalists have resigned after the network retracted a story linking a top President Trump adviser to a Russian investment bank. CNN, which Trump has frequently referred to as "fake news", has come under a lot of criticism since retracting the story and making apologies.

Nigerian Fraudsters Faces Jail Term For £10m Scam In UK



     Daily Mail report that  a gang of Nigerian fraudsters are facing jail for for using the identities of MPs, judges and police officers during a £10million scam. The crew stole personal details from the Civil Service Sports Council (CSSC), to make fraudulent claims over a four-year period.

   Member lists were ‘stolen to order’ from CSSC and used to place orders for tax credit starter packs used in fraudulent claims over a four year period. The gang managed to get away with nearly £2,500,000 before staff at Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs spotted the ‘extraordinarily high rate’ of claims being made by civil servants. If the scam had not been stopped it could have reaped more than £10,260,525.

    The market capitalisation of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) last week bowed to profit taking losing N583 billion with loses by some blue chips. Market capitalisation which opened at N11.691 trillion lost N583 billion or 4.99 per cent depreciated by 4.99 per cent to close N11.108 trillion.

househelp identified as Chinyere Igwe in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital.

    It was gathered that the victim was preparing soup when Okoshi complained that she did not follow her instruction. In anger, she poured the hot pot of soup on her and later followed it with a bowl of hot water.

Facebook to start TV broadcast, game shows

 

    Facebook will soon start production of high-quality television series and gaming shows to be broadcast on its platform, one of the social media giant’s executives said on Monday.

   The online platform, which has around two billion monthly users worldwide, is working on the project with a small group of partners and hopes to start putting out episodes of its forthcoming series by the end of the summer.

Man exchanges boy for N48,000 rice

 

     Detectives are on the trail of a yet to be identified middle-aged man for allegedly depositing a 10-year-old boy whom he abducted in exchange for three bags of rice worth N48,000. The suspect allegedly abducted the boy while he was on an errand for his mother at Prince bus stop, Isheri Osun area of Lagos.

Customs generates N239.4bn in first quarter

 

    The Nigerian Custom Service (NCS), generated N239.4billion in the first three months of this year, figures obtained from the Federal Ministry of Finance have revealed. The amount was contained in a document obtained yesterday in Abuja, showing the activities of the ministry in the last two years. The NCS, according to the document, stated that its revenue performance for the first quarter of this year exceeded its target of N193.2billion.

Lyon complete €10 million deal for Chelsea striker Bertrand Traore

 

    Lyon have signed striker Bertrand Traore to a five-year deal from Chelsea for €10 million, the club announced. Traore, who scored 13 goals in 39 appearances at Ajax last season, becomes the third loanee to be sold by Chelsea in this transfer window following the £17m deal that made Juan Cuadrado’s stay at Juventus permanent and Christian Atsu’s £6m move to Newcastle.
