    Today, President Muhammadu Buhari and his vice Professor Yemi Osinbajo hosted the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria at the State house in Abuja.
   In attendance were the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar (IV), and the Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi among other traditional leaders.

   Officers of the Nigerian Custom Service, Tin-Can Island Command have again seized1,100 pump action rifles bringing the pump action rifles impounded to a total of  2110 pump in Lagos alone in the last seven months.

La Liga: El Clasico Switched To December 23


      La Liga president, Javier Tebas, confirmed on Monday that the first El Clasico of the season between Real Madrid and Barcelona will be played on December 23 at 1:00 pm (1200GMT).  The clash was expected to take place on December 20 as part of a full midweek round of fixtures before Spain’s winter break.

Army Denies Invading Nnamdi Kanu’s Residence

 

   The Nigerian Army has denied reports that it invaded the residence of the self-acclaimed leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, in Abia State.
    This followed claims by supporters of the IPOB leader on Sunday that some soldiers opened fire on the residents who came out on sighting an Armoured Personnel Carrier.  The 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, Ohafia, however, said it was the residents that threw stones at the military officers.
