Nollywood Actor Yul Edochie Joins APGA
Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has officially joined the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Edochie, who ran for governor in Anambra State under the aegis of the Democratic People’s Congress (DPC) made the announcement on his Instagram.
He was welcomed into the party by the Anambra State Governor Willie Obiano who congratulated him for being “brave enough” to run, and Bianca Ojukwu. He wrote:
Senate gives up on passage of 2018 budget upon resumption from break
Senate on Tuesday said it has encountered difficulties at the committee levels, hence, it would not go ahead to discuss the 2018 budget with a view to passing it into law before end of the year as earlier planned.
Speaking under order 42, Senator Bala Ibn’Nallah pointed that: “though we suspended plenary two weeks ago with the expectation that various committees would have met, but as it is, nothing seems to have been done.”

The President’s and the Vice-President’s pay is low, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo said yesterday. He criticised the private sector for not respecting the national minimum wage law, which puts the lowest pay at N18,000.
Speaking at the end-of-year seminar of the State House Press Corps at the old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Prof. Osinbajo said he earns about N1.5m as Vice-President; President Buhari earns about N1.75 million.
