Drama: Atiku’s Son Flees With His Son After Losing Custody Battle to Ex wife
There was drama at the Tinubu Magistrate’s Court yesterday afternoon following the disappearance of Aamir Atiku, the 7-year-old son of Aminu Atiku and his ex-wife, Unmi Fatima Bolori, TheNation reports.
The boy’s mother claimed that Aminu, son of former Vice President Abubakar Atiku, snatched Aamir and drove off with him. The alleged incident occurred at 1:59pm, minutes after Aminu lost custody of his daughter Ameera Atiku, 9, and Aamir 7, to Bolori. Chief Magistrate Ayeye granted Bolori full custody of the children after Aminu failed to file a response to her application for child custody. The court ordered Aminu to pay Bolori N250, 000 monthly for the upkeep of the children, beginning from this month. It also ordered Aminu to carry out medical insurance on the children among others. Bolori’s November 2017 application for child custody proposed a nine-point ‘statement of arrangement’ for the children.

This Day in History 11 January:1908 Theodore Roosevelt makes Grand Canyon a national monument
On January 11, 1908, U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt declares the massive Grand Canyon in northwestern Arizona a national monument.
Though Native Americans lived in the area as early as the 13th century, the first European sighting of the canyon wasn’t until 1540, by members of an expedition headed by the Spanish explorer Francisco Vasquez de Coronado. Because of its remote and inaccessible location, several centuries passed before North American settlers really explored the canyon. In 1869, geologist John Wesley Powell led a group of 10 men in the first difficult journey down the rapids of the Colorado River and along the length of the 277-mile gorge in four rowboats.

1 and, for all Israel, the word of Samuel was as the word of Yahweh; since Eli was very old and his sons persisted in their wicked behaviour towards Yahweh. It happened at that time that the Philistines mustered to make war on Israel and Israel went out to meet them in war, pitching camp near Ebenezer while the Philistines pitched camp at Aphek.
2 The Philistines drew up their battle-line against Israel, the fighting was fierce, and Israel was beaten by the Philistines: about four thousand men in their ranks were killed on the field of battle.

TREM’s Daily 11 January 2018 Devotional by Dr. Mike Okonkwo - Change Your Mentality
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…” (Romans 12:2a KJV)
The Christian life, though full of trials, is nevertheless progressive. It is from grace to grace and from glory to glory. You must, therefore, walk with the mentality that God did not call you to shame or embarrassment. He called you to a life of glory and virtue.

What we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will give us later. — Romans 8:18 (TLB)
Nowhere does the Bible teach that Christians are to be exempt from the tribulations and natural disasters that come upon the world. It does teach that the Christian can face tribulation, crisis, calamity, and personal suffering with a supernatural power that is not available to the person outside Christ. The early Christians were able to experience joy in their hearts in the midst of trials, troubles, and depression.
