Tenant Runaway With Landlord’s Children In Edo

 

  Two female tenants identified as Mercy and Rose have reportedly disappeared with two children of their landlord at Utese village in Ovia North East local government area. Names of the children were given as Amada aged four and Christable aged two. They were said to have been left in the custody of the tenants by their mother who went to the stream to wash her clothes, The Nation reports.

Oceans will have more plastics than fish in 2050

 

   UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has warned that there would be more plastics than fish by 2050 if the present trends continue. Guterres, who stated this in his message for World Environment Day, marked today, said the world was being ‘swamped’ by harmful plastic waste. The Secretary-General is participating in the #BeatPlasticPollution challenge, in which users pledged to replace single-use plastics with reusable alternatives.

210 Inmates Escaped From Niger Prison

 

    The Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau has confirmed that 210 inmates escaped from the Minna Maximum Prisons in Niger State.

Policeman Who Shot Bamidele Removed From Police Force

 

   The Police have dismissed the trigger-happy mobile policeman who shot former House of Representatives member Hon. Opeyemi Bamidele and five other party faithful last Friday.

Offa Robbery: The Police No Longer Requests My Presence – Saraki

 

  Senate President Bukola Saraki has taken to his Twitter page to update the masses on his indictment in the Offa robbery. According to Saraki, he no longer needs to appear before the police for questioning instead he is now only required to respond in writing within 48-hours.
