Our focus is to take Nigerians out of poverty – Osinbajo



   Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has maintained that the focus of the present administration, is to take Nigerians out of poverty. He said all government’s programmes and projects were geared towards achieving that objective.

Amosun, Lalong, Others Visit Buhari In Daura

 
   The Governors of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, Plateau State, Simon Lalong, former Governor of Abia State, Orji Kalu on Wednesday visited President Muhammadu Buhari at his hometown in Daura, Katsina State. Other dignitaries who visited the President include Minister of Water Resources, Suleiman Adamu Kazaure, and Senator Uche Ekwunife. President Buhari earlier arrived Daura on Monday evening to celebrate Eid-El-Kabir.

Forbes, on Tuesday, announced Serena Williams as the highest paid female athlete for a third consecutive year in 2018. Williams, who returned to competition in March after giving birth last September, earned $62,000 in winnings over the past year but received $18.1 million from an endorsement portfolio unmatched among women in sports, Forbes said.

NBC Condemns Demolition Of Fresh FM By Oyo State Government

 

  The National Broadcasting Commission (NNBC ) has condemned the demolition of the structure housing the Fresh FM in Ibadan by the Oyo State Government. The Director-General of NBC, Ishaq Midibbo-Kawu, who spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ilorin, said the demolition was a worrisome development and did not speak well of the state government.
