Court Remands Deji Adeyanju In Prison Until February 2019
A Chief Magistrate’s Court in Kano today ordered that political activist, Deji Adeyanju, be remanded in prison until February 2019. The police had dragged Deji before the court for the reopening of a murder case which he was discharged and acquitted for by the Kano State High Court following a lengthy trial that lasted between 2005 and 2009.
Kogi Assembly commends Speaker Dogara over Ajaokuta Steel Company
The Kogi state House of Assembly has commended Speaker of the House of Representatives Hon Yakubu Dogara for his efforts toward reviving and revitalizing the comatose Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited. In a unanimous resolution, the lawmakers recognised the Speaker’s leadership and advocacy in reviving the steel company which has the potentials of generating over three million jobs when fully functional.
Kwankwaso supporters back in APC
A major political setback has hit the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Kano state, as several party big guns switched to the ruling All Progressives Party. Professor Hafiz Abubakar, former deputy governor of Kano state, who resigned recently to join Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, is one of the politicians who made his way back to the APC.
