Anthony Martial is set to sign a new five-year deal, sources have said. United have uttered nothing about reports of an extension of the Frenchman’s stay at Old Trafford but a source close to the player’s camp are aware that an announcement could be made before the trip to Leicester City on Sunday. The new long-term contract would keep Martial at the club until 2024 with United holding an option to extend the deal by a further 12 months.
Martial rejected a series of offers from United but after a breakthrough in negotiations earlier in January, he is set to put pen to paper when the final details are ironed out.
