Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mr. Olisa Agbakoba, has urged the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in last Saturday’s election, Atiku Abubakar, not to approach the court because of his loss. God always respects offering! God respects giving. God is not against giving or tithing! He is not against the things we do to honour Him. He is not against doing well. He is not against doing things very well. Some people are thinking because God has blessed us, therefore we don’t need to do anything. It is not like that.

A helicopter carrying Nepal’s tourism minister has crashed in Nepal’s hilly east, officials said Wednesday, with no word yet on the fate of those aboard. Senator George Akume (Benue APC) lost his fourth time bid for the Benue North West Senatorial seat to Hon. Orker Jev. The result was not announced by INEC after a myriad of complaints on the integrity of the election. Akume has been representing the senatorial district since 2007.
Announcing the results yesterday in Makurdi, INEC returning officer, Prof. Nicodemus Agbulu, said that Jev polled 157,726 votes to beat Akume, who got 115,422 votes. Agbulu said that the number of registered voters was 867,302 while accredited voters were 293,399.
