   House of Representatives today passed a total of N8,916, 964, 098, 373 trillon as 2019 budget. President Muhammadu Buhari had in December 2018 presented a budget estimate of N8.83 trillion before a joint session of the Senate and the House for the 2019 fiscal year.

   President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, to immediately intervene in the case of Zainab Aliyu incriminated in drug related matters and being detained by the Saudi Arabia authorities. Aliyu, a student of Maitama Sule University, Kano, was arrested by Saudi authorities on December 26, 2018 for allegedly travelling with a luggage containing unlawful substance believed to be tramadol.

  The Supreme Court has made it clear that it does not take orders from President Muhammadu Buhari, as it remained an independent arm of government.     Mr. Daniel Iworiso-Markson, the State Commissioner for Information, in a statement said the governor conveyed the decision to decline assent to the bill in a letter to the Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly on Monday. The Governor held consultations with the Assembly members in his country home of Toru-Orua, where he explained his reason for declining assent.

   The attack, which punctured the claimed successes of Operation Puff Adder, occurred at about 3.30 pm in Kurmin Kare village on Monday. Spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, DSP Yakubu Sabo, confirmed the kidnap and the attack. He said the injured victims were rescued. The statement reads:

 If you notice in the above passage, he was bound in chains and put inside the bottomless pit, shut up so that he would no more deceive the nations because he goes about with deception. He says things contrary to what God had said and when you buy it, it will manifest. He used that strategy on Eve. After God had just spoken concerning Adam and Eve, the devil came and deceived Eve into eating the same fruit that God said they shouldn’t eat. He said to Eve, ‘has God said’? In other words, this thing that God said, can it really be true? And rather than shut him up, Eve bought it and that resulted in the fall of man.

This word 'deny' can mean a variety of things from as little as 'to assert the contrary of' to 'to disavow; disown.' For example, we can see that it must have been the lesser type of denial which was committed by Peter because God certainly forgave Peter's sin and continued using him. In Hebrews 6:4-6, the Lord states that there is no repentance from total denial of the Lord (Heb. 10:29). Therefore, even though Peter denied (asserted he did not know) the Lord, he did not disown or disavow the Lord.

In the course of the attack by unknown two men in white apparels, the actor said he became unconscious and later his body was lying on the floor of the hotel, where he was lodged for hours before he was confirmed dead by doctors at a near-by hospital in Nnewi.    The police in Lagos have arrested a woman, in whose freezer a six-year old boy, Treasure Akinsohun, was found dead, hours after he was declared missing. The freezer was normally used to sell water and soft drinks.

  The command’s spokesman, DSP Bala Elkana confirmed the arrest on Friday, saying that the corpse had been deposited at the mortuary, while investigation was ongoing. According to Elkana, on April 23, at about 8.30pm, Eunice Akinsohun of Oyedele Street, Alapere Ketu, reported her six-year old son, Treasure, missing from about 9am.
