Overcoming Family Challenges (Part 2) by Pastor Faith Oyedepo
Overcoming Family Challenges (Part 2) by Pastor Faith Oyedepo
Dear Reader,
I welcome you once again to this expository teaching on Family Life. I know that you are already successfully overcoming the challenges in your family by putting the remedies learnt in the last editions to proper use. However, this week, I shall be teaching on another challenge and its remedy.
The Bible says, And the LORD God planted a GARDEN eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed (Genesis 2:8). A garden stands for pleasure, abundance and fulfillment. Marriage and family is a type of garden, planted by God Himself for your pleasure, abundance and fulfillment. This garden, however, is not ordinary; the Word of God makes us understand that it is full of treasures which are valued objects. These valued objects have one way or the other been lost to improper handling of challenges in the family. But these treasures of peace, joy, fulfillment and satisfaction can be restored back to your family if only you can assume the responsibility of locating and handling the root cause of what destroyed it.

Memorise: “But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.” – 2 Timothy 2:20
Read: 1 Timothy 3:1-7 (KJV)
1 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
