Eze Israel Kanu, the father of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, is dead. Eze Kanu was the traditional ruler of Afara Ukwu Umuahia community till his death.
The traditional council of his community led by Edward Ibeabuchi confirmed his demise. One of his sons, Emmanuel, also confirmed the demise of his father. His death comes four months after his wife, Kanu's mother Ugoeze Sally Kanu, passed away.
