WASHINGTON - William Barr Vows to Let Mueller Finish Investigation

     William P. Barr, President Trump’s nominee for attorney general, said “it is in the best interest of everyone” that the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, be allowed to finish his investigation. He also pledged not to allow the president to “correct and put spin on” a Mueller report before it was released publicly.

   William P. Barr, President Trump’s nominee for attorney general, assured senators at his confirmation hearing on Tuesday that he would permit the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, to complete the Russia investigation and said he was determined to resist any pressure from Mr. Trump to use law enforcement for political purposes.
