But the Presidency dismissed it all as a storm in a tea cup. “There is nothing more to sneeze at”, it said. Besides, the governor denied calling for violence.

Former Cote d’Ivoire President Laurent Gbagbo has been released in Belgium under conditions following his acquittal by the International Criminal Court in The Hague, the court has said. Belgium said at the weekend that it had agreed in principle to host Gbagbo pending a possible prosecution appeal, after he was cleared of crimes against humanity on January 15.
