Text: Ruth 1:6-22 (KJV)

Key Verse: “And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee or to return from following after thee for whether thou goest I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God” (Ruth 1:16,17).

TOPIC:CONNECT TO THE WORD (TREM DAILY DEVOTIONAL 12TH FEBRUARY 2019)
“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63 KJV

Beloved, you can continuously connect to the supernatural by connecting to the Word of God. The Word is Spirit, which means if I have the Word of God, I am operating in the Spirit. “It is the spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing” Stop looking for ‘I must see it before I know it is supernatural. Since I didn’t see, He has not moved.’ No, it is the Spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing. When the Bible talks about flesh, it is talking about carnality. Carnality is not totally a bad word. It means people who walk by their sight, who go by their feelings, who go by what they hear and who go by what they touch. ‘Until I can see and touch it, I won’t believe God has done it.’ That is carnality!

Rendering Financial Services by Pastor David Ibiyeomie

Rendering Financial Services by Pastor David Ibiyeomie
The account in Genesis chapter 1 gives a vivid explanation of progression. God moved from one level to another. He did not create all things in one day. This same approach is applicable in business. Your success in business is evident when you move from one level to the other. You should not remain at the beginning where you started; there should be advancement. Think big from the beginning but start with what is available and then keep making progress.

Job 8:7 (KJV) Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.

To neglect the law of progression may keep you from going forward. Start with what is available; it is not evidence of doubt but evidence of planning. Faith will not take the place of planning. The Almighty God had to plan and if He, to whom all things are possible moved from one step to another, then you are not exempted. One step at a time is the surest way to get to the top. Every long journey starts with a step. Failure to take the first step is also failure to arrive at your destination.

He that loveth his brother abideth in the light . . . — 1 John 2:10

This age in which we live could hardly be described as conducive to a sensitiveness of the needs of others. We have developed a veneer of sophistication and hardness. Abraham Lincoln once said, characteristically, “I am sorry for the man who can’t feel the whip when it is laid on the other man’s back.” Much of the world is calloused and indifferent toward mankind’s poverty and distress. This is due largely to the fact that for many people there has never been a rebirth.

Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. – 2 Corinthians 2:14

As you fight the good fight of faith today, remember this: Your mind is where the battle will take place. Whatever you allow to captivate your mind will rule your life. Will it be the Word of God or the lies of Satan? The decision is yours.

Memorise: “That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.”- Psalm 67:2

Read: Psalm 67:1-7 (KJV)

1 God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.

2 That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.

3 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.

5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.
