(ENTERTAINMENT) I Got Broke Quick As A Young Girl – Tonto Dikeh
Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, just shared a picture of a beautiful dress she bought that costs less than N1500. The movie star, alongside a picture of the dress, talked about how in the past she was always broke because she felt affordable clothes were not her level. But fast forward to the star she is now, she noted that she has actually mastered the art of looking expensive on a budget which she credits to her “maturity and experience.”Her words:
“4/5 years ago I would never have blinked at a dress that cost nothing because I had the mentality that if it was cheap it wasn’t for me(I mean who the heavens did I think I was? No wonder I got broke quick all the time?? No wonder I had no plan and could execute no plan cos of my reckless spending))
BOTTOMLINE I BOUGHT THIS DRESS FOR 1,500naria and was given 44naria change!!
#THERE ARE CERTAIN THINGS THAT ONLY MATURITY AND EXPERIENCE CAN TEACH YOU!!”

Matthew 6:1, “Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.”
Text: Matthew 6:1-4
The motive behind our gift is more important than the gift itself. Paul said if he gave all of his goods to feed the poor, or if he made the ultimate sacrifice of giving his own life for someone else, and wasn’t motivated by love, his gift would profit him nothing (1 Cor. 13:3).

Who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God? – 1 Samuel 17:26
You may be facing a giant today. He may be a giant of sickness or failure, of financial shortage or another kind of trouble. But don’t let him scare you. You have a secret weapon. A weapon that once turned a shepherd boy into a bear-busting, lion-killing, giant-slaying champion. That weapon was a blood covenant with Almighty God.

“And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.” Genesis 4:8. KJV)
There is always something that will make you unhappy. But if this is not expressed in the proper way, it will always result in a problem. Instead of talking to God honestly about his feeling, Cain went to talk with Abel.

Read: Hebrews 2:9-3:1 (KJV)
Hebrews 2:9-18:
9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
