Mark 14:41 ‘And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.’

Mark 14:41

It is not our individual acts of sin that make us a sinner. It is our sin nature that makes us commit individual acts of sin. Adam’s one sin produced a sin nature in all men that in turn, caused each person to commit individual acts of sin. Jesus not only dealt with the original sin that contaminated the human race, but He also dealt with each individual act of sin.

For we know not what we should pray for as we ought; but the Spirit himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. — Romans 8:26

John Knox, with an all-consuming soul-concern for his country, prayed, “Give me Scotland, or I die!” His earnest travail was rewarded with a spiritual rebirth in his land. This is what is termed “praying in the Spirit.” It is the manifestation of a deep spiritual concern for others, and it is instilled by the Spirit of God. This kind of prayer can leap over oceans, speed across burning deserts, spring over mountains, bound through jungles, and carry the healing, helping power of the Gospel to the object of prayer.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.” – Isaiah 55:8 KJV

One of the things that hinder believers is that they want to understand things based on their environments. You are not of this world even though you are in the world. If you studied the life of Jesus Christ, you will notice that He walked diametrically opposite to the world. He was not ready to impress anyone. In John 4:34, Jesus saith unto them; my meat is to do the will of Him that sent me, and to finish His work.’ Many of us have limited ourselves because we want to impress people. We want people to clap for us. We want them to say that we are doing it right. So, we try to “make things right” when God intends that we should do it His way.

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. – Isaiah 54:17

No weapon formed against you shall prosper. Isn’t that great news! Isn’t it good to know that no sickness, no circumstance, no problem that rises against you can successfully bring you down?

Some years ago, one of our friends was facing a lawsuit. He and I prayed together according to this scripture and agreed it was the final word in the situation, not the allegations against him. We stood in faith, believing that lawsuit had to fail.

Understanding The Virtues Of Praise! By David Oyedepo

Understanding The Virtues Of Praise! By David Oyedepo

WELCOME to another exciting week! I hope you were blessed by last week teaching. Today, we shall focus on: Understanding The Virtues Of Praise!

We understand from scriptures that praise is appreciating God for His Person. That is, we just appreciate and worship Him for who He is. Our high rating of God causes His praise to flow from us. As it is written, Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely (Psalm 147:1). God is excited and motivated by praise. We can get God cheaply with praise. For instance, David the man after God’s heart became God’s darling by praise. God’s heart was always with him. The whole of Saul’s army could not handle him! If we want to see God back us up, then, we should live a life of endless praise. Also, praise will launch us into a life of endless miracles; which will stop us from sweating to start winning in the race of life.

I want us to know that praise is a God given weapon in our hands with which to humiliate the devil. It is God’s medicine against the enemy. Every time we obey the law of praise, we silence our adversaries. Everyone who lives in praise carries authority with him because he has the backing of heaven. For instance, in 1 Samuel 17:50, we saw how David the praise giant, defeated goliath effortlessly because he had the backing of heaven. This shows that praise is the path of life; the winning ticket anytime. With the anointing of praise upon our lives, we become an all-round winner in the battles of life.

Open Heaven 11 November 2019 Monday Daily Devotional By Pastor E. A. Adeboye – The Glorious Generation

Memorise: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:” – 1 Peter 2:9

Read: Psalm 24:3-6, Hebrews 3:7-12 (KJV)

Psalm 24:3-6:
3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?

4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob.

Hebrews 3:7-12:
7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,

8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.

10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.

11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)

12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
