Topic: Lay Hold On Your Heritage [TREM Devotional 17 January 2019]

“How we praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every blessing in heaven because we belong to Christ”. Ephesians 1:3 (TLB)

One of the things I have said repeatedly is that any prayer that puts the full responsibility of the outcome on God is an irresponsible prayer. God will not do for you what He expects you to do for yourself.

Take for instance a mother who has prepared a sumptuous meal for her child and the table is well set, but the child sits on the table and cries for hunger. Can you imagine that? Of course not. But many believers are doing just that. They are sitting at the banqueting table, staring and the food and crying for hunger. Beloved, you must begin to lay hold on your heritage. Just like in the natural, if they give a will and you don’t fight for it, others will take it from you. God wants us to declare and enforce your heritage. It belongs to you!

Our text for today makes it very clear. God is not going to bless you. No!!!! He has already blessed you. You have everything done already. The table is set, your part is to eat.

There is no time that you lay hold of the Word God has spoken that God does not back it. God puts the full weight of Heaven behind His words. As you lay hold on the word, God ensures it hits the target and produces the right result. He overtakes all the plots of the devil and glorifies Himself in your life.

Your days of struggles are over! You are entering your wealthy place. When you lay hold on the promises of God there shall be a manifestation. The manifestation will affect your finance. It will affect your business. It will affect your academics. It will affect your family. It will affect your health and it will affect your ministry. The devil will not stop you. You will pursue, you will overtake, and you will recover all.
