The Emir of Kaura-Namoda in Zamfara State, Alhaji Mohammed Asha, is dead. He is believed to have died of complications from COVID-19 while undergoing treatment at an Isolation centre in Gusau, the state capital.
Confirming the incident to Channels Television, the Commissioner for Health in the state, Yahaya Kanoma said the late Emir fell Ill on Friday and was admitted at the Specialist Hospital, in Gusau. He explained that the deceased was immediately put into isolation after he showed symptoms of COVID-19 along with his wife, while his blood sample was collected for testing.
