Golden Eaglets captain Samson Tijani joins RB Salzburg

 

    Nigeria U17 captain Samson Tijani has finally has agreed to join for FC Red Bull Salzburg and put an end to speculation over his future in the process.  Tijani was targetted by some of European top sides, but the player and his representatives to agree a deal with the Austrian giants because of the strong development program for youths.

Sultan of Sokoto rejects Northern security outfit

 

  The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar has criticized the new Northern established security outfit called ‘Shege Ka Fasa’.  Recalls that the Coalition of Northern Groups, CNG on Wednesday presented a northern regional security initiative “Shege Ka Fasa”

   The monarch taking a swipe at elders in the north, described the security outfit as a way to ‘score cheap political points.’ He further called on the northern elders to call the youths to order immediately. Sultan of Sokoto said this while speaking at the Northern Security Meeting which was held in Kaduna on Thursday.

   The two children of kaduna-based medical doctor, Philip Ataga, have been released by their abductors two weeks after they were abducted alongside their deceased mother from their home in Juji, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna metropolis on January 25th.

Supreme court upholds conviction and 12-year sentencing of former Taraba governor, Jolly Nyame

 

   The Supreme Court has upheld the conviction and 12-year prison sentencing handed to former Taraba state governor, Reverend Jolly Nyame, for stealing N1.6 billion from the state coffers while he was governor from May 1999 to May 2007.

   Amazon boss Jeff Bezos is engaged to his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez, her brother has claimed in a lawsuit. Michael Sanchez referred to Bezos as his sister's 'current fiance', according to the defamation lawsuit he filed in Los Angeles.

Nigerians reacts as lawmakers reject Innoson made-in-Nigeria SUVs

 

   Nigerians have taken to social media to criticise the members of House of Representatives over their refusal to endorse made-in Nigeria vehicles as their official vehicles.

In a report titled Reps reject Innoson made- in-Nigeria SUVs as official vehicles, Dailytimes reported that the lawmaker who made the suggestion to endorse the locally made vehicles was shouted down during the executive session on Wednesday.

The report from DailyTimes also stated that the lawmakers insisted on brand new imported SUVs against the locally assembled and made- in – Nigeria brands. Reacting to this, a twitter user said;
