APC suspends Obaseki’s aide


    An aide to Governor Godwin Obaseki, Mr. Kaycee Osamwonyi, has been suspended from the ruling All Progressives Congress for allegedly engaging in acts of thuggery, hooliganism and causing factions within the party.

   Kaycee was suspended by APC leaders in Ward six Uhunmwode local government area. The motion for the suspension of Kaycee was moved by Hon. Harrison Orobor and adopted by party members present at the meeting.

     President Muhammadu Buhari has inaugurated Engr. Ahmed Kadi Amshi and 11 others as chairman and members of the National Assembly Service Commission.

Supreme Court Dismisses Lyon And APC’s Application

 

  The Supreme Court has dismissed an application for review of the judgment which sacked the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa state, David Lyon and his deputy, Senator Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo.

  Mr Lyon was sacked by the apex court on February 13, on grounds that his deputy, submitted forged certificates to INEC. The court ruled that Mr Degi-Eremienyo’s disqualification had affected the joint ticket with which he and the governorship candidate, Lyon, ran for and won on November 16, 2019.

26 years old corps member arraign for impersonation

 

    The Department of State Services (DSS) has arraigned a 26-year-old corps member, Oluwatosin Medaiyese before an Osun State Magistrates’ Court sitting in Osogbo for alleged impersonation.

Police discover baby factory in Rivers



    Police in Rivers State said on Wednesday that at least 25 children and six pregnant women have been rescued from a baby factory in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

Lost dog hands himself in to police after missing



    A clever dog has impressed police officers in his local area after alerting them of his own missing status when he ran away from home.

    Cops were stunned when Chico the German Shepherd bounded into the station and handed himself in at around 3.30am on February 11. He was wearing a collar but the ID tag had fallen off, so officers called in animal control to check if he had a microchip to identify him.

Lagos removes four roundabouts for road expansion

  The Lagos State government has started removing four roundabouts in Ikotun, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Allen Avenue and Maryland to pave way for road expansion and free flow of traffic. Commissioner for Transportation Dr. Frederick Oladeinde said projects will be completed between March and April.
