Lagos records three more COVID-19 deaths

 

   Commissioner of Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, announced this on Saturday. According to him, the deceased are two males and a female aged 52, 63 and 67 respectively.

  The Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mr Abba Kyari, who died on Friday, April the 17th, has now been buried.

Kano COVID-19 committee members test positive

 

 
    The Kano State government yesterday confirmed that the state’s COVID-19 Taskforce co-chairman, Prof. Abdulrazak Garba Habib and three other members of the committee had been tested positive to Coronavirus.

Nigeria records 51 new cases of COVID-19

 

   Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed fifty-one new cases of Coronavirus in the country. This brings to the total of 493 cases. The agency announced this its twitter handle few minutes ago.

The breakdown of the new cases shows that 32 are in Lagos, 6 in Kano, 5 in Kwara, 2 in FCT, 2 in Oyo, 2 in Katsina, 1 in Ogun, and 1 in Ekiti. As at 10:10pm 17th April, number of states with confirmed cases of #COVID19 are 19 and the FCT.

Gov. Abiodun relaxes Buhari’s total lockdown on Ogun

 

  The Ogun government has relaxed the total lockdown imposed on the state by President Muhammad Buhari. Gov Dapo Abiodun made this known while addressing journalists on Friday in his Iperu-Remo residence.

  The Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mr Abba Kyari, has died more than two weeks after he tested positive for COVID-19.
