THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH

“…But the just shall live by his faith.” Habakkuk 2:4 KJV

Why is it that believers do not get manifestations? One of the answers to the above questions can be found in the book of Hebrews 1:6: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

A lot of Christian want to please God but the word of God says you cannot please Him without faith. Outside faith, there is no way you can please God. Whoever comes to God must believe that He is! The bible doesn’t say you will see that He is. It doesn’t say until you touch Him. No. You should believe that He is. Without your faith, it is impossible. Believe that God is a rewarder of them who diligently seek Him.

Topic: God Does Not Remember Your Sins [TREM Devotional 6 April 2020]

“I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.” – Isaiah 43:25 KJV

Our text today says God has blotted out your transgressions for his namesake and that He does not remember them again. He did it for His own sake. “Sins” in this context is not just the nature but also the actions. That is why it is in the plural. God says He will not remember your sins.

You know we have this idea and we preached it when we had little understanding of the scripture; that God has a tape recorder that records everything and when the last day comes he will play your tape. I have heard it and I preached it but you know God’s revelation is progressive. Truth is, God does not have any tape of your sins. He has already erased them and He said, He will not remember.

“But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.” Deuteronomy 8:18 (KJV)

Yesterday, we looked at relying on God. Beloved, it is not a difficult thing for God to lift up His children beyond their wildest expectations. As you know, God is able to exceed your expectation, but when He blesses you, you must NEVER forget the reason for the blessing.

Topic: It Can Only Get Better For You [TREM Devotional 27 March 2019]

‘’…But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.’’ Proverbs 4:18 (KJV)

I come your way today to remind you that the Christian life is progressive. It is from Grace to Grace and from Glory to Glory. Whatever testimonies you may have had thus far is nothing compared to what God is yet to do in your life. Your present situation may not look like it, but I challenge you to believe God for the best. Often times, when believers take a look at their lives, they are tempted to judge themselves from the perspective of the world.

“The righteous cry and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.” Psalm 34:17 (KJV)

Many people are wondering why they have not succeeded. “Why did things not fall through for me?” They are quick to ask. My question is: Are you hooked up with God or are you doing your own thing? Do you take time to inquire from God in the place of prayer, or do you run off doing your own thing and expecting His blessing?

“And they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David, and gave him bread, and he did eat, and they made him drink water.” 1Samuel 30:11 (KJV)

On their return from an expedition, when David and his men came to Ziglag; their wives, sons, daughters and goods had been taken captive. David and his men lifted up their voices and wept until they had no more power to weep. David inquired of the Lord saying; shall I pursue after this troop? Shall I overtake them? He received assurance from God and headed out with his men to recover their families and properties. Then God went ahead to plant a pointer, an Egyptian, on the way.

Trem Daily Devotional 12 March 2020- BE FAITHFUL

“A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.” Proverbs 28:20 (KJV)

There are people in the church that as soon as they experience some blessing, they will not be seen again in the church. That is when they remember every other commitment outside the church: they think of friends, family, work and put all before God. When I encounter people like this, I am forced to wonder at the shortness of human memory. The same person pledging full commitment to God before the breakthrough is the same person who expects God to understand how busy he is at work and how he needs to keep company with friends to stay “relevant” in the scheme of things.

“Therefore, David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.” 1 Samuel 17:51 KJV

We are all involved in the battle to defeat an enemy. But we must understand the nature of our warfare. Our warfare is a battle between two opposing forces. It is the battle between the devil and Jesus. The first Adam fought, and he was defeated. He wasn’t able to stand on the Word that was spoken.

Topic: Fight The Good Fight Of Faith [TREM Devotional 24 February 2019]

“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.” 1 Timothy 6:12 KJV

Until you recognize the enemy you are fighting with, you cannot effectively engage him. If you cannot recognize the enemy’s modus operandi, you won’t know what you’re fighting. And that already spells defeat for you ever before the battle starts, but understanding will make you win the battle even before the battle starts

The real warfare we are engaged with is not a battle of guns and bullets. It is not a battle of bows and arrows. It is the fight of faith. And the Bible calls it “the good fight of faith”. That sounds like a paradox! How can any fight for that matter be good! The fight is not good!

So why is this fight a good fight? The outcome of this fight is already determined and settled! It is already determined that you are winning. It is a settled issue. You are already a winner based on what Christ did for us. Christ secured our winning position ever before we came on the scene. It is a good fight! And it is already determined!

Topic: Sin Has Wages [TREM Devotional 20 February 2019]

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23 (KJV)

I know that we are in the dispensation of grace. Many people have listened to the message of grace and taken it too far. Beloved, error is truth stretched too far. You may be right, but when you stretch it way out of proportion, it will become an error.

I have heard people say that the moment you give your life to Christ, you can live anyhow and heaven is guaranteed. Child of God, yes, the moment you give your life to Christ, a new spirit is born inside you and you become a new man. This is perfectly true, and you are heaven ready. However, if you refuse to live above the mundane things, never forget: Sin has wages.

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children”. Hosea 4:6 (KJV)

God is not unrighteous. It is not God’s will that one person succeeds and the other fails. It is not His will. If you are a child of God, you are already born into success by your birthright. You are born into achievement. You are born into greatness. You are already born into it. It is not about to happen. It has already happened!

Topic: Fear Of God [TREM Devotional 8 February 2019]

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Proverbs 1:7 (KJV)

One of our cardinal points as a Church is the fear of God. Now not fear as running away that He may harm you, rather it is reverence for Him, you acknowledge Him for who He is and joyfully follow Him. That is the fear that God demands from us.

Many believers do not understand the fear of God. We are quick to relate fear to punishment and some people even have the image of a huge bearded guy with a big stick to ready to unleash His anger on you. No. God is loving. He loves you just for who you are. Even when you miss it, He has prepared for your redemption.

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”. Isaiah 55:11 KJV.

Beloved, whenever you open your bible, hunt for your inheritance. Sickness is not your inheritance. By his stripes, you are healed. You are the healed that the devil wants to make sick. The symptoms are trying to make you sick, but you are not because you have been healed by His stripes. Symptom is not sickness!

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind”. 2 Timothy 1:7 KJV

When harbinger of sad news came to the Jairus in the book of Mark 5:36, Jesus said to him: “Be not afraid, only believe! That same Word is coming to you today. Fear not! You did not receive the spirit of fear but of power, of love and of a sound mind. You have an astute, sharp and sagacious mind. You have a creative mind. This is what you have in Christ.

Who told you that you are a dullard? Who told you that you cannot make it? Who lied to you that you cannot succeed? Beloved, you are in Christ and you have the mind of Christ. Hear what the book of Psalm 125: 1-2 says: They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed but abideth forever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even forever. (Psalm 125:1, 2 KJV).

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” Ephesians 1:3 KJV

Our scripture for today is very explicit: God has blessed you with ALL spiritual blessings – not some but all– His word is yea and amen. Be rest assured that you are not going to end a disaster! Relax your mind. You are not going to end a disappointment! The hand of God is resting upon your life. The blessing of the Lord upon your life shall provoke a creative mind and cause you to become sought after. You shall be filled with the knowledge of witty invention. You will become an instrument to provide answers to the challenges of life.

Topic: Lay Hold On Your Heritage [TREM Devotional 17 January 2019]

“How we praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every blessing in heaven because we belong to Christ”. Ephesians 1:3 (TLB)

One of the things I have said repeatedly is that any prayer that puts the full responsibility of the outcome on God is an irresponsible prayer. God will not do for you what He expects you to do for yourself.

Take for instance a mother who has prepared a sumptuous meal for her child and the table is well set, but the child sits on the table and cries for hunger. Can you imagine that? Of course not. But many believers are doing just that. They are sitting at the banqueting table, staring and the food and crying for hunger. Beloved, you must begin to lay hold on your heritage. Just like in the natural, if they give a will and you don’t fight for it, others will take it from you. God wants us to declare and enforce your heritage. It belongs to you!

“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold, and the Lord blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous” Genesis 26:12-13 NKJV

God has blessed Abraham and so of necessity, Isaac must be blessed. That is why Isaac, following God’s instruction, can sow in the land of famine and prosper. Some time ago I was asking God why He told Isaac to remain in the land of famine and not to run like his father. He said to me: “Because I wanted him to know what he was carrying”! Isaac, you are carrying blessing. So, don’t run away. Your blessing is not about your location; it is about what you are carrying. You have a blessed heritage. Because of his blessed and goodly heritage, Isaac sowed in a land of dryness and he got a hundred-fold.

“And he said, hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, thus saith the LORD unto you, be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.”
2 Chronicles 20:15 KJV

Always remember that every battle affecting any believer actually belongs to the Lord and not the believer. God told Jehoshaphat and Israel in 2 Chronicles 20:17: “ye shall not need to fight in this battle. Set yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord”. Many of you are fighting when it is not a physical fight.
