The one who is the true Light arrived to shine on everyone coming into the world. — John 1:9 (TLB)

The world is stumbling in darkness from one crisis to another. The crises are getting worse and worse, and are coming closer and closer to home. Inflation, population explosion, hunger, dominate vast areas of the world. Jesus said, “I am the light of the world.

Topic: Recall God’s Mercies [Kenneth Copeland Devotional 20 November 2019]

Topic: Recall God’s Mercies [Kenneth Copeland Devotional 20 November 2019]

This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. – Lamentations 3:21-23

God is faithful. He’s full of compassion. His mercies are new every morning. As a believer, you know all that. But simply knowing it is not enough.

Topic: Not By Logic; But By Faith [TREM Devotional 20 November 2019]

“For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” – 1 Corinthians 2:2 KJV

The greatest thing that could happen to any man on this earth is to have an assurance that he is in Christ. Outside Christ there is no hope. It is not about going to church and shaking the preacher’s hand. I have always asked myself: ‘if I had died without Jesus and with what I know now about heaven and hell, where would I be?’ Each time I think of it, goose bumps come on me. That is why I thank Him every day. He opened my eyes. The Bible says that the god of this world blinded the eyes of those who do not believe, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ who is the image of God should shine in their lives (2 Corinthians 4:4). The god of this world blinded their eyes and they go about reasoning by logic.

Topic: Get in the Flow [Joyce Meyer Devotional 20 November 2019]

You cause them to drink of the stream of Your pleasures. For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light do we see light. O continue Your loving-kindness to those who know You, Your righteousness (salvation) to the upright in heart. — Psalm 36:8–10 (AMPC)

I have never been much of a swimmer. I may not be the best at fighting the current, but I can float. It is wonderful just to trust the water to keep us up and go with the flow. We can trust God to keep us afloat through the rapids and lead us to still waters.
