Opposition Leader Nana Akufo-Addo Is Ghana’s President-Elect

 

      72-year-old Ghanaian opposition leader and presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has won Ghana’s Presidential election.

     Results from media outlets show that Nana Addo defeated incumbent President, John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), in parliamentary elections that also took place throughout Ghana on Wednesday, December 7, 2016.
