      Nigerian comedian Bright Okpocha a.k.a Basketmouth's mother has been laid to rest. She passed away on October 3rd after a brief illness and was buried this weekend in Abia State. May her soul continue to rest in peace, amen.

Nigerians are suffering, jobs are being lost- Obasanjo tells Buhari, Senators, Reps, judges

       Former President Olusegun Obasanjo spoke yesterday on the state of the economy.He urged President Muhammadu Buhari to urgently fix things “because Nigerians are suffering”.
The former President denounced the National Assembly as a cesspool of corruption and some of the lawmakers as “unarmed robbers” who are defrauding the nation .
Obasanjo’s thoughts were expressed in a paper he presented at the First Akintola Williams Annual Lecture in Lagos. He said:

          PERHAPS some people may not find this mind-blowing given that Nigerians have become accustomed to hearing about outrageous looting of the nation’s  treasury by public officials. But many would appreciate  that even with the falling value of Nigeria’s currency, N450 million could save lives in the health sector where government  hospitals in the country lack many equipment.
