PHOTOS- Massive sinkhole opens between two homes in US

 
    A massive sinkhole has been reported to have opened in a street in Pennsylvania, USA swallowing up a pair of homes in a suburban Philadelphia neighborhood.


  Residents of Cheltenham Township said the large sinkhole covers a large section of a nearby road and extends between the foundation of two homes, according to WPVI. The massive hole opened early Wednesday morning and swallowed a hole tree and a pickup truck, while also prompting evacuations from the area.I happened  in a street in Pennsylvania, USA swallowing up a pair of homes in a suburban Philadelphia neighborhood.


  The sinkhole appeared to measure about 30 to 35 feet deep and caused serious damage to two homes, making them uninhabitable, according to WTXF. One of the homes in the vicinity of the sinkhole had previously been placed up for sale while the other family has been displaced by the damage.

  The hole is not expected to grow any larger and authorities were unable to determine what caused it to open. No immediate danger or injuries were reported but water and other underground utilities in the area were shut off as authorities assessed the situation.
