United States embassy in Nigeria sign MOU with Nigeria for a provision of $ 160, 000 (N36.6m) grant to help in the preservation of the nation’s cultural heritage

   The United States embassy in Nigeria has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, with Nigeria for a provision of $ 160, 000 (N36.6m) grant to help in the preservation of the nation’s cultural heritage.

  The US Ambassador to Nigeria, Stuart Symington, signed the MoU with the Nigerian authorities on behalf of US government.
   The MoU is aimed at helping Nigerian institutions improve conditions for storage of its cultural facilities.
  The affected institutions are international Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property, National Museums and Monuments and Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.
