The Silver Spoon tells the story of a spoilt but bright hard working and serious minded girl of 24 years, Ella Henshaw who is to take over the family business. However she met, a disgruntled job seeker, Segun played by Wole Ojo who finally got a job in her company and discovers that the job was not what he expected. Speaking with one of the casts of the movie, Wole Ojo on what makes The Silver Spoon a must watch he said, “One of the unique things about The Silver Spoon is in its storytelling, a normal story told from a different point of view. It’s a really educative and relatable movie which a lot of young people out there can connect with. I think it is definitely a must watch’.
Nollywood sensation Yvonne Jegede who played the role of Sade in the movie shared that the movie had a lot to express. “Through this movie, I learned that finding and staying true to oneself is really important. It is a genuinely well written and educating movie that would reach out and connect with everyone.”
Speaking on what set this movie apart from the regular Nollywood movie, Actress Jennifer Eliogu who played the mother of Ellen Henshaw says; “Honestly, I have been involved in so many movies and most times I play the role of a mother and I have lots of fun doing that but for me the simplicity of this movie did it, there are no complications, just a great story and the fact that it preaches love sets it apart from the usual stories.” The Silver Spoon heads to every cinema nationwide come September 22nd, 2017.
