    The immediate past chairman, Badagry Local Government, Hon Dosu Husitode Moses is dead. Popularly known as Oshoco, the late politician was flown out of the country after his health deteriorated and died in a US hospital.

South African President, Jacob Zuma, visits Imo State

 

     The South African President, Jacob Zuma, has arrived in Owerri, the Imo State Capital on a two-day working visit. Present at the Sam Mbakwe Airport to welcome President Zuma, were the state governor, Rochas Okorocha Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, Former Governor of Jigawa State, Saminu Turaki, and Former INEC Chairman, Morris Iwu, among others.

Nelly's rape accuser says she wants the case dropped

   The woman who accused rapper, Nelly of rape, has refused to testify against him in court and has asked for the case to be dropped.

NNPC Shut down Warri and Kaduna Refinery indefinitely

    The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has indefinitely shut down two of the nation’s three refineries due to increase in their operation costs and several maintenance interventions.  A top official of the corporation told Daily Trust, yesterday, that Kaduna and Warri refineries had been down in July and yet to resume production till date.
