John Hagee's Daily Devotional 20 January 2018- Ephesians 6:10,11,14,17

Ephesians 6:10,11,14,16—Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil…Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
There Is Only One Thing You Can Do With A Sword, And That’s Fight!
The Bible says to “resist the devil, and he will flee from you” James 4:7.  St. Paul instructed us to “fight the good fight of faith”  1 Timothy 6:12.  Paul was a fighter.  One of the last things he wrote to the church was “I have fought a good fight.” 2 Timothy 4:7.  Another place Paul says he did not fight “as one who beats the air” 1 Corinthians 9:26.  In other words, “I’m not throwing a series of wild punches hoping I hit the devil.  If he gets close enough, it’s lights out.”   Have you ever seen one of those boxing matches where the fighters are up there swinging over the other guy’s head, like they’re trying to create a draft to give the other guy pneumonia?  Paul said he was not swinging wildly; he was ready for combat.  He was confident that through Jesus Christ he was more than a match for the powers and principalities of darkness.  You can have that kind of confidence too…it is available for every one who believes on the Lord Jesus Christ!
