I Never Thought Of Becoming A Musician- Ayefele

 

   One of the most sought after music act, Yinka Ayefele has disclosed a shocker! According to Yinka, he never planned to sing. As a matter of fact he wanted to become a banker because his late father wanted him to work in a bank. But after graduating, he couldn't find a job and later found himself at FRCN, and that's how his story changed! Hear him;

  “Growing up, I loved music but I didn’t know it would become my profession. My late father wanted me to be a banker and I worked towards it too. After my degree, my brothers made efforts to get me a job at the cooperative banks but nothing worked out. My life changed a day we went to a Christmas event at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria. They found out that I had a good voice, and immediately, they gave me some programmes to handle.”

  Ayefele, however, maintained that he had no regrets venturing into music because it was the will of God for him. He stated, “I am fulfilled. I have to be grateful to God. I have made an impact in the society and I can see it. When I see people playing like Ayefele, I feel happy. Even if I am no more today, I am fulfilled and people will still play my kind of music.”

   Ayefele who described himself as a total entertainer, said, “I play music, I talk on the radio and I make people laugh.” Before the accident that confined him in a wheelchair, he revealed that he was also a comedian.
