Canadian-born rapper Drake always goes extra when its time to connect with his fans directly and just recently during his tour in Chicago, the OVO boss surprised an 11-year-old fan by making her wish come through.
Drizzy surprised Sofia, who is currently waiting for a heart transplant at the Lurie Children’s Hospital with a visit after the little girl made her birthday wish known. Sofia, who looked visibly shocked by the rapper’s appearance, said she was unsure if what was happening was real or not.
“It’s a miracle because it’s one of the first wishes that I got in a long time,” Sofia said. “I didn’t talk for a minute. I was like ‘What? Is this real or fake?’ He’s like ‘It’s me, Drake.’” During Drake’s visit, the two reportedly exchanged autographs and Drizzy even sang “God’s Plan.” The pair also chopped it up “about Bieber and Owls and Basketball.”
The Lurie Children’s Hospital also posted a video of the visit on their Instagram page saying: “Today, Lurie Children’s Hospital heart transplant patient Sofia Sanchez, who turned 11 on Saturday, had one of her birthday wishes come true– a surprise visit from Drake,”
