(POLITICS) Collation Officer Shot In Benue

 

  Tuluem, a lecturer at the University of Agriculture, Benue, was attacked on her way to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) head office in Markurdi, the state capital, on Saturday night.

  TheCable gathered that the incident happened on the Markurdi-Gboko road. The attackers reportedly fired at the vehicle conveying Tuluem to the collation center and the bullet hit her on the leg. She was taken to the hospital immediately. Benue is one of five states where supplementary governorship election is ongoing.
