(POLITICS) “I Don’t Care If I Lose The Election” – Governor El-Rufai

Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has said he does not care if he loses the forthcoming governorship election so long the exercise is conducted in a transparent manner.

 

   El-Rufai said this yesterday while speaking at an event organised by the State Peace Commission, National Peace Commission and the UN. The governor said the most important job for his administration is to govern and ensure a peaceful election in the state.

   The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 10-count charge filed by Offem Uket on January 30 alleged that Lawal conspired with a director and staff in Rholavision Engineering Ltd, Hamidu David Lawal and Suleiman Abubakar, to fraudulently acquire a property and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 26(1)(c) of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000 and punishable under Section 12 of the same Act.
