Buhari gets N/Assembly approval to present 2017 budget

   

    The National Assembly yesterday approved President Muhammadu Buhari’s request to present the 2017 budget on Wednesday, December 14. The approval of the request was sequel to a motion raised by the Senate Leader, Ali Ndume and seconded by the Deputy Minority Leader, Emmanuel Bwacha.

Senators press for overhaul of NYSC

     Due to the death of three members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), namely, Ifedolapo Amoke Oladepo who died in Kano NYSC Orientation Camp, Elechi Chiyerom who died in Bayelsa State Orientation Camp and Ukeme Asuquo who died in Zamfara State Orientation Camp, recently, Senators are caling for its overhaul.

      The United States government says it has begun dialogue with the federal government on the release of the 458 million dollar Abacha loot but that the legal process for its recovery will take extra time.
