Lesotho’s new prime minister sworn-in


     The new Prime Minister of Lesotho, Mr. Thomas Thabane, on Friday took the oath of office as the head of a coalition government, two days after the murder of his estranged wife. Thabane’s All Basotho Convention (ABC) party won snap elections on June 3, but failed to get an outright majority, leading it to negotiate joint rule with the Alliance of Democrats (AD), Basotho National Party (BNP) and Reformed Congress of Lesotho (RCL).

Rotimi Amaechi- 'I rejected N1bn bribe'


 
    The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has revealed how he rejected a bribe of N1 billion years ago. The former Rivers State Governor disclosed this while he was speaking in Lagos on Tuesday, June 13, at a forum in Lagos.

  JAMB’s registrar, Is-haq Oloyede, said the blacklisting of some of the centres was due to their alleged involvement in extortion and “organised examination malpractice” during the UTME.
PREMIUM TIMES has now obtained a full list of the affected centres in 18 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

    Mr and Mrs Jegede who reside in a one-room apartment at No. 11, Ijaiye Street, Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos. Mr. Rasheed Jegede, 37, is a furniture maker, while his wife, the mother of the triplets, Esther Jegede, 31, is unemployed. She gave birth to two girls and a boy through Caesarean Section on the 6th of June, 2017 at Ayoradex Hospital, Mafoluku, Oshodi, but has been made to stay since they have been unable to pay their N200,000 medical bills.
