Evans vanishes

 
      After weeks of public furore and media frenzy, a sudden blackout has descended on the case of Chukwuduneme Onwuamadike a.k.a. Evans, Nigeria’s infamous billionaire kidnapper, thus fuelling speculations that he’s escaped, or dead.

Stock exchange suspends trading of 17 company

 

   The Nigerian Stock Exchange, (NSE), has suspended trading of stocks of 17 companies for non-filling of their financial results with the exchange. The suspension was in pursuant to Rule 3.1 which has to do with filing of accounts and treatment of default filing, rulebook of The Exchange.

Virgin Atlantic marks 16th anniversary in Nigeria


 

     A United Kingdom mega carrier, Virgin Atlantic Airways, has celebrated its 16th anniversary of flying between Lagos and London. Since 2001 when it started flights into Lagos, the airline said it had helped over three million customers to enjoy holidays, business trips and visit friends and family members in the UK and beyond.

Banks lost N2.2bn to electronic fraud in 2016, CBN says

    The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has said the Nigeria InterBank Settlement System (NIBSS) recorded over 1,200 per cent increase in  reported fraud cases in 2016, estimated at N2.19 billion when compared to 2014 cases.
