Diesel price crashes by 42 per cent


 

    NNPC said that diesel price nationwide crashed by 42 per cent due to strategic intervention by the Corporation to sustain supply of the product.

    The Corporation in its May report released in Abuja, on Thursday said the move helped to stop unpleasant experience witnessed in the first quarter of 2017. It said that the retail price of the product in the first quarter rose to N300 per litre.

NDDC cancels 600 contracts


    The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) says it has revoked more than 600 contracts and projects as part of efforts to restructure the commission. NDDC Managing Director Nsima Ekere told newsmen in Port Harcourt on Thursday that the commission’s management and board took the decision to adopt a ‘4R’ initiative as roadmap to development.

     Gov. Mohammed  Abubakar of Bauchi on Thursday dissolved his  cabinet , sacked the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Bello Ilelah  and disengaged his Special Assistants.

Former NFL Footballer, O.J. Simpson Granted Parole after 9 Years in Prison

   

    Simpson, 70, was convicted in 2008 after enlisting a group of men, including two with guns, to retrieve some items from two sports collectibles sellers that Simpson said were stolen from him a decade earlier. He has now reached the nine-year minimum of the 33-year sentence he received.

Court adjourns Evans’ case till July 27

   

   Hearing has been further adjourned till July 27, 2017 in the N300m fundamental rights enforcement suit filed against the Inspector-General of Police by suspected kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike a.k.a. Evans.
