INEC fixes Aug. 19 for Gombe Assembly bye-election

 

  The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed August 19 for the bye-election for Dukku North state Assembly seat of Gombe State.

Banks React To Court Order, Deny Violation Of TSA Policy


    Some of the Nigerian banks ordered by the Federal High Court in Lagos to remit $793.2m, allegedly hidden with them in contravention of the Federal Government’s Treasury Single Account (TSA) policy have denied any wrongdoing.

     Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has restated its commitment to revamping basic education in the state through the revival of libraries across government schools. To this end, the state government has set up a Library Review Committee to boost literacy level in the state by promoting a reading culture among the students.
