Taraba: less privileged to get N5,000 stipend

 

    The Wife of Taraba governor, Mrs Anna Ishaku on Wednesday launched the payment of N5,000 stipend to 4,350 destitute in the state under the Federal Government’s Social Investment Programme. Speaking at the inauguration of the programme in Ardo-Kola, Ishaku commended the Federal Government and the World Bank for collaborating with the state to support its poorest citizens.

Court frees Atiku, grants child custody to ex-wife

 

   A Tinubu Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday discharged Aminu Atiku Abubakar of contempt, but granted the custody of his two children to his estranged wife, Fatimo Bolori. Aminu is the son of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar.

    A Federal High Court in Abuja has approved application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for interim forfeiture of 14 properties by former FCT Minister, Bala Mohammed over alleged corruption.

Reps urge FG to procure arms for FRSC


    The House of Representatives on Wednesday, urged the Federal Government to facilitate the procurement of arms and ammunitions for operations of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC). It said that bearing arms would help in protecting the commission’s personnel in the course of duty.
