‘Cigarette Was My Companion’ Lady Shares Inspiring Piece to Celebrate One Year of Quitting Smoking

 

   A Nigerian model, Ishioma Onyebo has written an inspirational piece about her addiction to cigarette and Nicotine, the battle involved in quitting and how she was finally able to quit smoking over one year ago. She said, she once missed her flight to Capetown, not because she was late, but because she was in the smoking area chatting with a smoke buddy, and not listening to the announcement. Ishioma stated that she wrote the lengthy piece to inspire someone out there to quit whatever addiction that is stopping the person from living the best life.

INEC Gives Parties Oct 7 Deadline To Pick Presidential Candidate

 


   INEC released the official 2019 elections time table giving political parties an October 7 deadline to produce their presidential candidates for the February 16, 2019 presidential election.

Libya returnees protest non-payment of stipend

 

   The 373 Edo Born who were among the 481 Nigerians returned from Libya on Sunday, are protesting the non-payment of stipend for their transportation back home. Among them are 73 women, some of who are expectant mothers.They arrived Benin City about 1:30a.m. and were lodged at the Motel Benin Plaza by the Edo State government.

Kemi Olunloyo regains freedom after spending 90 days in prison



  Controversial Nigerian journalist, Kemi Olunloyo who was arrested and locked up in Port-Harcourt Maximum Prison, has regained freedom after spending 90 days in the holding facility.
 
   Kemi Olunloyo who announced getting back her freedom after her imprisonment for the the third time on her Instagram handle, also thanked those who helped in her release. She wrote;

President Buhari Says He Didn’t know His Son Yusuf Spent N114m on Power Bikes

   

   President Muhammad Buhari’s son, Yusuf Buhari, who had a bike accident that left him in need of a brain surgery alongside his friend, Bashir Gwandu, has been accused of secretly acquiring two BMW power bikes, worth a whopping $157,000 (N57million) each from Germany, without his dad’s approval.

    According to a report by Daily Post, President Muhammad Buhari didn’t know of the existence of his son Yusuf’s power bikes. He also didn’t know Yusuf Buhari always snuck out at night to go race on the bikes at his friend, Gwandu’s place.
